Frontliners in Sri Lanka’s Tea Industry over four decades, BHP Group is a family owned enterprise of 2 independent Tea Factories. Each factory produces tea with its own inherent uniqueness, aroma and flavour. BHP Group manufactures almost 3.5 million kilograms of Black Tea per annum.

Both tea factories are in the Ruhunu region, of Sri Lanka, within a radius of 130 kilometers from the capital city, Colombo. Our teas come from tea gardens of rich soil, where the leaf breathes the purest fresh air in the lower elevations of the southern part of the island, that gives the brilliant blackness to our teas; thus imparting a thick and strong distinctively unique character in the cup.
